Overview

PlaceLab Geopositioning system PlaceLab Geopositioning system Placelab is a collaborative effort between Intel Research Seattle and various academic institutions to provide a privacy-observant, low cost and easy to use geo-positioning system. The system is reliant upon existing wireless network infrastructure to provide landmarks, which can be used to determine the current location of a device.

There are various DoS techniques such as Smurf, Teardop and SYN Attacks. Software fixes exist which can limit or prevent these attacks.
